Robert (Bob) Carlson is a member of the litigation team at Kryger, Alexander, Egan & Elmer, P.C. He is a trial attorney specializing in representing injured workers and plaintiffs in personal injury cases.
Bob was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, where he attended Central Catholic and Madison High Schools. However, it was at Rose City Park Elementary school where he met the former Sheila Steinmetz, who relented to marrying him in 1983. They have four children who attend public school in Albany.
Bob first came to Albany in 1989 at the behest of Arctic Circle Restaurants Inc., to operate the old East Albany Arctic Circle. He did so with success until January, 1991 at which time he left the company to purse a legal education. Bob attended Linn Benton Community College in Albany, Oregon before transferring to Willamette University in Salem, Oregon where he graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Politics.
In 1997, Bob graduated from Brigham Young University Law School with a Juris Doctor degree. While at BYU, Bob was very active in the Moot Court program, winning numerous awards for his outstanding appellate brief writing and oral advocacy skills. He was awarded a seat on the prestigious Board of Advocates and was selected to represent the law school as a member of the National Moot Court Team.
Bob is a member of the Oregon State Bar, Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, American Bar Association and Linn County Bar Association. He has a long tradition of community involvement, having been active in Kiwanis, Boy Scouts and local political campaigns. He was an original member of Albany's Ninth Street Couplet Citizen's Advisory Committee in 1990.
