Dave Kryger is the senior shareholder at Kryger, Alexander, Egan, & Elmer, P.C. He is a trial attorney who specializes in the representation of injured workers and plaintiffs in personal injury, industrial injury, and product liability claims. Born in Boise, Idaho, Dave grew up in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He attended public school until he graduated high school.

Dave was admitted to St. Martin's College in Lacey, Washington. In college, he pitched for the baseball team and during the summers he worked in the lumber mills and played minor league ball. In fact, in 1994, he was inducted into the St. Martin's College Hall of Fame as the pitcher with the lowest ERA in school history. He graduated with his Bachelor's degree in 1962.

Dave immediately enrolled at Willamette University Law School. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1965. After law school, he became an Administrative Law Judge at the Hearings Division of the Workers' Compensation Board. Because of his unique qualifications as a workers' compensation Judge, the partners of Emmons, Kyle, & Kropp coaxed Dave into the firm in 1968. He became a partner in 1970. He has practiced in the firm from his Albany office for over 30 years.

Dave is active in the Oregon Trial Lawyers. He served as President in 1986-87. He has served as President of the Oregon Workers' Compensation Attorneys. Governor Victor Atiyeh appointed him to the Task Force on Workers' Compensation in 1979-80. He is the author of numerous articles on legislative and workers' compensation and he is a sustaining member of the Workplace Injury Legislative Group.

Dave met his wife, DeEtta, while he was a student at St. Martin College and she was attending Seattle University. They married when Dave started Law School. They make their home in Albany where they raised four children. Dave and DeEtta are the proud grandparents of six.

You can call Dave at (541) 928-6171 or e-mail him at kryger@kyrgerlaw.com.
